Hello all! My name is Adam Cornette and I am a graduate student in Virginia Tech's Natural Resources program. As part of my Watershed Stewardship course, I am studying the Little Miami Watershed (HUC 05090202) in southwestern Ohio. I grew up in Wilmington, Ohio which contains numerous small creeks and streams that feed into the Little Miami River. Having recently moved "back home" to Morrow, Ohio (approx. 10 miles south of Wilmington), I reside in the same watershed and less than one mile from the Little Miami River. This river has served as an amazing source of recreation for me, my friends, and family over my 34 years through fishing, kayaking, canoe trips, and camping on it's banks. Over the course of this semester, I am excited to research more about the Little Miami River watershed and learn about it's sustainability and resiliency to threats in the region (residential relocation and development, agriculture practices, increase in invasive plants).
